You might be aware that one of the key colours of the season is camel. This sandy shade will whip up a storm in your wardrobes thanks to its natural and earthy tone. Perfectly suited to Softs, Warms & Deeps but a word of warning you will need a warm skintone to pull off this colour. But that doesn’t mean you cant wear it, just adapt your makeup or wear it some of the ways I have listed below. Add a bold colour to pair with it, if you cant wear it then add camel accessories.
Unsure of how to wear it? Here are my three top ways to wear this colour.
A camel trench teams well with darker denim to offer contrast and depth. Then minimal tones such as white and honey in the form of trend-led accessories will add a fashion-forward twist, while a simple shirt or sweater will ensure you channel the smart-casual look perfectly.
Pillar box red may seem an unlikely match for camel but fear not, such a brave tone can be carried off with aplomb. Filled with personality, the look will feel creative and bold. Mix it up with texture – cord is huge for the coming season – and print for further appeal.
A camel coat is an opulent purchase and pairs beautifully with softer neutral shades such as cocoa, cream and tan. Worn with contrasting textures in complementary natural hues it really comes to life and looks plush and expensive. Pair with the decadent velvet trousers, a faux-fur bag and tactile cashmere for a touchable finish.
