… a top.

I know – how hard can that be to find?  Well, the answer is sometimes very.  The sort of tops that you can just reach for everyday that are not plain or slogan tshirts.  You can wear them with skirts, jeans and trousers.  You can wear them out to dinner, you can them to work, you can even throw them on to go to the supermarket.

Easy.  Not expensive.  Every day tops.

I’m a massive lover of colour, not a surprise to anyone that knows me. So I’m often drawn to the colourful ones first (particularly red ones).  But right now, I am starting to collect a few good old faithful white ones.  Some cream.  Yes I seem to be going heavy on the cream/white right now but that’s because if I’m looking for just one or two new things to add to my wardrobe these colours give a summery and fresher feel – and you can guarantee a neutral will work with everything especially if you have a bit of a tan.  But fear not, I will be looking at some colour and print tops in the near future – just taking a little breather with some calming fresh numbers.

So here are a few of my faves in store right now.

Striped Tie Front Half Sleeve Top from M&S £29.50

Pure Cotton Ruched Long Sleeved Blouse from Autograph at M&S £39.50 (girl with yellow skirt)

Detail Neck T-shirt from Mango £17.99

Embroidered with puff sleeve top detail at Warehouse £36 (below photo)

John Lewis Pleat V Neck Blouse £39

I have added some v-necks as they are definatley the most flattering on most figures, it’s quite hard to get v-necks in summer so here is a couple I’ve found.

Take a look at this sleeveless v neck at John Lewis, its silky perfection to go with pretty much anything, however it does have dropped shoulders which anyone who knows me will know I have a built in hatred for this style as I think it’s very unflattering on most women – But this is a pretty nice top.

Hopefully this has given you some ideas of other styles and cuts of top that you can wear with all those other items, for more styling tips or advice email me on natasha@appandatt.com or visit my facebook page on https://www.facebook.com/natashaedge19/
